Set entirely in Open Procured [Standard]

A face earns its keep in paragraphs, not posters.

Anyone can make a letter look good at 200 pixels. The test of a working typeface is the ninth line of the third paragraph — where rhythm, spacing, and the shape of an a decide whether a reader stays. This layout drops any font into real editorial duty and lets you judge it there.

Open media begins with open tools, and open tools begin with a typeface you are allowed to keep. Most of the type on the internet is rented — licensed per seat, per page-view, per year, revocable. A font you can embed, self-host, and ship without asking is a small piece of infrastructure returned to the commons.

That is the premise of the library this specimen belongs to. Everything on the shelf is open source; the only thing behind a wall is a thin members layer that unlocks the premium and early drops. The face you are reading now — Open Procured, the house grotesque — is free forever, in every weight it ships. Take it, put it in your product, and never think about it again.

The test of a working typeface is the ninth line of the third paragraph. — the editorial doctrine

A specimen should be honest about the reading sizes people actually use. Body copy lives between fourteen and sixteen pixels; captions and metadata dip to twelve or thirteen. At those sizes the letterforms cannot hide behind size — the counters have to stay open, the spacing even, the numerals legible in a table. Scroll down and you will find exactly that: figures in context, a spec table, a ramp from headline to footnote.

Swap the one font declaration at the top of this file and the whole page re-skins around your face. No build step, no dependencies, no script. Just a letter, a paragraph, and the ninth line waiting to be read.
